Fitment Question on Evo 8

Are there any fitment issues or problems I should know about before upgrading to a 10.5 hotside and ebay o2 housing? I have a Vibrant TBE already. Thanks guys!

Can I expect to see any increase in power without a tune?

You're not going to feel it with or without the tune. Unless your but is a calibrated dyno, but you won't see a huge increase on the dyno graph either.

Why do you think that I wouldn't see any increase even with a tune?

It's really a small, insignificant modification. You may feel the slightest difference just because you want to in your head.

You are upgrading the size of the hotside, so it WILL be different. Very little though, so little that you probably won't notice it. Any gains that could be had with a tune could probably be had with the original 9.8 housing.

It's a lot of work for not a lot of gain.

My plan was to upgrade the hotside and o2 housing. Then get cams and tune. I might just consider upgrading to the evo 9 turbo instead of the hotside. I wasn't looking to spend that much money but it would probably be worth it.

If you're going to spend money on a whole new Evo 9 turbo, go to the FP website and get an FP green or white, about same price, little more expensive, but better power out of the turbo.
