Installed BoostG and MBC now..

I have a turboxs MBC mounted, and the + charge is coming from the BOV which I T'd. Then mounted my boost guage which I connected to the fpr vac line.

Q1. With no mods at alll but the mbc, I see my boost running 20-21 psi at about 3500 rpm then goes to 18-19 psi at 6500-red. I'm in cal so 91 oct is all we got.

Should I reduce PSi or leave it alone?

Q2. When should we get a valve adjust on this cars?

IMO. I would set it at no more than 19PSI. Espically on 91 octane.

As for valve adjustment, I could be wrong, but I dont thing hydro. valves need adjusted.

Yeah what he said. 91 octane is garbage. The reason it's spiking like that is because of the MBC. An EBC would get rid of that.

ok.. got it down to 19 psi and it is holding. I'll observe some more. Nice that it holds 19-18 psi till redline.

Since we are on the topic of MBC's, do they all install the same? I have Buschur's MBC coming to me and I was curious if it installed like the install at http://www.jonesland.com/evo/MBC_Install.htm ?

One more thing, how do you cap off the hoses? Or rather what do you use to cap off the hoses?

http://www.jonesland.com/evo/MBC_Install.htm is exactly what I did.

As for the cap, what I did was, I inserted a 3 inch vac hose on all the nipples I needed to cap and inserted a smal bolt tha thas a big head on top, making sure it was nice and tight then put wire ties on all of them. You can also buy the cap at craigen or pep boys then make sure you use wire ties to secure them.
