I know as I been reading every make and model has 1 type of issue that always break or fails, on my 7 i had the ACT extreme pressure plate with the 4 puck unsprung disc and drove it like a champ in traffic and all.Never had a problem even with the stocker.

You dont go spray happy bro, spray small amounts like .02 of a sec on a hose or vacuum line just to see if the idle gets lumpy then you know you have a leak. Spraying it all over is plain crazy. And brake cleaner will not remove paint off your engine bay. If anything it will make it dull and not even that.

it will only take off spray paint, if the brake cleaner is good enough, it wont take off powdercoat or car paint thoe.

why mess around with spraying stuff in our engine bay? grap a pvc cap, put a tire valve in it and plug it up to the turbo with a coupler and fill it with air, if theres a leak, you will definatly find it

Alex, these guys are right. I think you need to do the boost leak check like they suggested. Its not the clutch cause when mine went bad, I could cruise on the highway doing about 75 and when I hit the gas to pass a car, the rpm's would shoot up and take a few seconds for the car to grip. After the drive to the shop, it would take forever and a day just to get to 75-80mph.

Sent the guys at TTP a pm hopefully they will get back to before opening tomorrow and getting ready to tackle this weeks jobs.

I dont live far from them so I will drive the car there so they can check it out. Its just bad timing tomorrow the moving company is packing my house. Tuesday I have to check out of my unit. And Wednesday I have to register my car. Thursday pack my belongings in the car so I can step off Friday morning. I have done the trip 3 times already with a best time of 34hrs non-stop driving. So I will make it there in time for me to report in Tuesday.

i havent dropped the tranny yet. pretty sure the shift fork is either bent, broke, or the pin popped out. i tried to move the car today, it was stuck in 3rd, but for some reason it popped back out, and now every gear works fine? im going to take it apart this week just to see whats up. i will probably replace synchros for the hell of it and put in a neww clutch disc while im at it.

nice..going street disk again? And yea my budd (tall skinny one with me last night), is replacing teh clutch in his GSX, the shop a year ago shimmed his fork and it was shimmed WAY to much, so it grinded against the PP, cracked it, and tottally ****ed up his street disk. So he knows where you are comming from.

to tell if its your clutch slipping, drive onto a highway or long stretch of road. go ~25-30 miles an hour in 4th gear. Go WOT. if your rpms are travelling faster than the speed is picking up (5000 rpms at 40mph) than your clutch is slipping...

It doesn't sound like the clutch.

Give Shane a call and let him know when you can bring the car in.

Thanks for bringing in the car today. Glad we could get you squared away today and properly diagnosed. As we had already mentioned we knew there was nothing wrong with your clutch.
