"We take your trans and apply all applicable technical service bulletins and updates as well as modify the oiling system and a few other tricks to make it shift really well"

well iam looking to learn what those "Tricks" are, are they going with tighter tolerences? different metal alloys? what is it that they do?
they are saying that they change to new parts, but that wouldn;t make it a race trans, wouldn't u think?
Thanks

I hate to say this but but some of the tranny rebuild vendors shouldn't be in business due to their low quality and service. and if I am planning on spending close to $3,000 then I should atleast know what the heck is going on.

Jacks idea of these tapered roller bearings is a sham. Tranny shifted awful was not buttery and obviously had an oil issue for the bearings. Shep is butter clean smooth and strong and cheaper.

I recommend Shep all the way. He's a cool guy to hang out with and know what to do when it comes to building a tranny to last.

I've got a fully rebuilt with Evo 8 3-4, Double Syncro 5th, REM'd, etc. I'll only run Redline. It shifts perfectly and I've never had a problem.

Shep FTW!
