Can the stock clutch handle 400whp+?

I want to add some more power mods and get retuned (hoping for 400whp+) and I want to make sure my clutch can handle the power when it's on the dyno. Would it start to slip or should I be okay so long as the clutch hasn't been abused over the course of its life?

Note: I'm going to upgrade the clutch eventually, but I'd rather get the car tuned first.

I would keep one on the side just in case.. Taking care of it will make it last FOR SURE

yes it can if you dont launch it and it may lock you out at higher rpms, but the throw out bearing clips will not.

I made 481whp on the stock clutch it HATED launches though. I was still able to rip through the gears just fine though with no slipping that was at 30k miles on the stocker . Had the tranny pulled and went ahead and put a new clutch in while it was out though

the stock clutch is ffine as ling as you do not launch the car. I have been on my buschur gt30r set up since 20k miles and I'm nw at 60k miles and I'm at close to 400whp with. I problems with he stock clutch. The clutch will not hold at all if I try to launch the car but I can rip through all the gears fine

Im running a Red and 100% meth on a stock clutch at 65k miles and it holds in all gears but its not my daily driver and I dont launch the car. Its actually going on the dyno tomm. I ve never seen a stocker have lockout issue, only aftermarket clutches.

i would personally not say so... i have known a lot of people including myself having to replace clutches to fast... are you the first owner?? if so and you had the car from the start you can judge what you think.. but if your a second owner good idea it won't last...

Itll take it with no problem as long as you treat it well... You can drive aggressively but dont plan on launching on it.

Depends on the torque. If you baby it and don't launch it should be fine. Its the point where it hits peak torque and how often that will decide if it slips.
