M2's on Stock 8 Turbo

So I'm looking at getting some Cosworth M2's for my stock 8 Turbo. Does anyone have some dyno graphs or comments on how my car will perform after adding these. Probably should replace my springs too and finally get an O2 housing.

Current Mod List:
- Injen U/L IC Piping
- Turbo XS FMIC
- Invidia TBE
- Walbro 255
- Aeromotive Fuel Rail
- 880 cc Precision
- Forge BOV & MBC
- ARP Headstuds
- Tuned to 30 PSI on E85

I think Tobz has tuned some 8/M2 combos' give him a shout. From what I remember, he said they're very impressive.

The m2's are awesome...i think they'll be fine with a oem turbo....you'll have a decent foundation too, if you choose to upgrade your turbo down the road.

i have a dyno compare of them vs gsc s1...this was with a fp-green.

i have 1 brand new set for sale, if interested. i dont think you'll find them to your door for less. if so, let me know.

GL with your decision...

I'm going with the M2's cause that's what Tobz suggested. Probably going to do springs and retainers so when the big turbo time comes around I'll be ready to go. Personally I'd like to see how much power I can get out of this stock 8 turbo before I jump to a Red

Any recommendations on the Springs and Retainers? I know a lot of people go with BC's, what other options are out there?

Thanks,

- Steve

Stay away from BC springs/retainers. FP makes an awesome beehive product that is impossible to touch for performance and cost.

Big Cams Little Turbo...I think thats the name of the thread. Search for it and see what others have found.

Read your thread on Big Cams Little Turbo, you guys are only talking about MIVEC iX's and that doesn't really help me much on my VIII

Thanks for the spring suggestion, I'll look a little more into the FP ones for sure.

Go with the FP springs, they're a huge bang for the buck. I was going to run the M2's on my 8 turbo as well but had to sell them last minute. If you're looking to really max the stock turbo, I know where you can get a Full-Race Prostock manifold cheap and local

Find Aby's for sale thread...he has a chart of going from GSC S1's to Cosi M2's on his Green....HUGE gains (40whp in some areas)...in fact, I will be switching from the GSC S1's to the Kelfords or Cosis here in a little while.

I have a FS thread here and on COEC. Those prices are flexible as well, need this thing GONE, they're the last of my stock frame turbo build up parts.

Lucas' car is an VIII with S2s. Brad@mellontuning has S2 in his VIII. The tech still applies between the IX and the VIII. We have done far more VIIIs than IXs it seems.

I've been told that cams add a lot more power to the VIII's vs the IX's is there any truth to that?
