I believe kelford 280's are more suited to a track car. Where as the s2's and kelford 272's are for street and track. If anything Id search for kelford 272's on here and you'll find Im sure a lot of threads with people having really good results with them.

Well you asked so...FP makes a cam 'designed' for the Red and other similar flowing turbos...AMS did a pretty extensive test on cams ( I believe on a 35R, can't remember), but the Kelford 272s were one of the top performers.

It really depends what you want -- peak power vs. good gains across the power band vs. street-ability / idle. I personally don't think you can go wrong with Kelford, GSC, FP, or Jun cams, but would recommend getting the cam that will give you the broadest power band (not just peak numbers).

Best of luck

the s2s and kelford 272s are in the same league with very similar gains, spool, and power bands.. the kelford 280s are too big of a cam for that turbo.. just my opinion though.. can't go wrong with either :P

Im pretty sure the GSC S2's are your better bet,use the search engine and you will see what I mean. People are gaining 35whp and 40wtq just by making the switch from Kelford 272's to GSC S2's. I am not bashing the Kelfords by any mean, they are great cams and I run them in my stock turbo 9 right now but when I want to make power with the red,ill be switching my cams out for the GSC's! Just my 2 cents!

Easy choice GSC s2.. A much more well rounded cam with better gains all thru midrange of the powerband..

This is why I need to sell my brand new Kelford 280s. I am convinced that they need to go.

What kinda power gains could I expect with S2's? I have S1's, the OG ones, and I made 460 WHP on pump gas, can I get 480-500WHP on pump gas and S2's?

I have a set of S2s for sale with 1,610 miles on them for you folks wanting to take the plunge . Purchased this year, so they're the newest grind of the S2 from GSC.
