Help, will any 4g63 flywheel bolt work with Evo?

Just as the title says, doing my clutch this weekend, one of the flywheel bolt heads got damaged and Mitsu parts dept closed. Can I use a flywheel bolt from a 1st or 2nd gen eclipse or other car?

I'm going to have to say no. But if any one of them has a chance at working it would have to be from a 2G since it has a 7-bolt flywheel. Early 1G cars use 6-bolts. Some later 1G's have 7-bolts.

I'd have to run out to the garage and dig up a DSM 7 bolt flywheel bolt to verify, but I'm 99% sure the EVO uses shorter bolts. Doesn't mean longer bolts wouldn't work, as long as they dont bottom out before they're tight.

Compare the two and find out since it sounds like you have a DSM one there.

The Evo bolts are a bit shorter. Im not sure if the 2g bolt will bottom out in the crank?

6 bolt DSMs are 22.2mm, 7 bolt DSMs are 21.2mm.

Actually I was thinking I would be able to find a 6 or 7 bolt DSM flywheel bolt this weekend vs getting a Evo bolt from the dealer who is closed. I found 2 different DSM bolts, they were both too long. One of them the bolt was not entirely threaded so it won't work, the other has a 18mm bolt head and is too long so it could be shortened but may cause balance issues due to the larger bolt head. Unfortunatly the solution is going to be re-installing a damaged bolt that will probably be a major PITA to get out next time - have to go straight to the extractor. Thanks for all the help to those that posted.

The car is on a borrowed lift and has to be done before Monday morning.
