I have no real input. It's an awesome idea and if the axles hold up, there is nothing to worry about.
A routine inspection of the axles and hubs using some form of crack detection would probably be plenty to insure adaquate safety.

Axle failure seems to always be the diff side and not so much the hubside. This has been the case since the DSM days though as well. I would think a set of DSS's would cure that however. I have used the good ole Lincoln 5 lb spool for years in alot of different applications, but a real spool has myriad advantages. With that small of a ring gear in the rear diff though, I am not sure how happy it will be in the long run.

Looks great man. I want something cool for my car. Its a white RS like Toms, just a few seconds slower.

Even though I'm not a "drag racer", warms my heart to see someone make hard parts from scratch for this platform! Good stuff!
Since you're not a vendor Indy, you should get David or one of the other vendors to carry these. Judging from the response, I'd say there is a market for them.

I will be carrying these when the time comes to sell them. Indy was only posting pics of what he is working on with 9sec9. He did get prior approval for the thread Zeus so he wouldn't have any problems.

Damn parts like this make me miss my Evo, great job. Ive run spools in the past in muscle cars with no issues, this part should hook the hell out of the car.

It's a shame that ANYONE would need "prior approval" for ANY innovation that they were NOT actually peddling... I see no reason someone should have to pled to share innovation. It's a whole other thing to attempt to fly under the Vendor wire, in which this is absolutely not.Originally Posted by davidbuschur

Good job with the pencil and napkins Indy... please share with me any other things you are working!!! That goes for ANYONE who has the gumption and the know how to get the job done. What I miss most about Aerospace manufacturing is the "making" of it all.

Zeus, I agree with you 100%. In the past the bannings have flown Indy's way though anytime he mentions something he's working on, so he got prior approval on this one. Thought I'd point it out before someone reported it and another moderator banned him again.
Looking forward to some 1.20 sixty foot times with this

Understood... there is a BIG difference between "look what I/we made" vs. "look what I/we offer". As long as it's the former, there should be no problem from any honorable Mod what so ever.
