Both are very good quality. Not a big fan of the Cosworth spec bearings though, Ive seen problems with them. 2.3 is better for street, 2.2 is better for tracking.

its gonna come down to your goals and needs i wouldnt mind a 2.3 but i like to drive mine daily

oh lord, here we go.

I went with an AMS 2.3, picked up a TON of torque with my setup. never had one problem with the motor and I drove the crap out of my car. Great customer service from AMS.

I never had personal experience with Cossie but I was happy with AMS!

Now that's what im talking about, the AMS 2.3RR. I would have went that route but it was not available when I bought my 2.3 from them.

That is by far the sickest motor yet!
