Trouble getting into First Gear

So I just replaced my tranny fluid. Car has about 45K miles on her, 80% highway driving. Anyhow the clutch is about a yr old and has at least 20K miles on her. It's an ACT HDSS, haven't had one issue with it ever slipping.

Okay now on to the problem, I am having a tough time getting into First Gear, especially if my tranny fluid hasn't had enough time to warm up. Once the tranny fluid is warm the car does shift in and out of first much smoother but I still notice a little struggle from time to time, and it's driving me nutz.

I was wondering if this might be an issue with my clutch engagement, the clutch is gettin old but I think I might need to adjust my clutch pedal. I've seen the how to on the clutch pedal adjustment I just don't know if I need to lengthen this bolt or shorten it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

Try adjusting the clutch pedal, that should help. On a side note, does anyone know what size wrench you need to adjust the pedal?

Just looked and it appears it's gonna be a pain in the *** to get to that bolt. I'll give it a whirl tonight when I get home.

Do you have to break the lock nut and just turn the rod at the wrench point or what? If so which way do I turn it? Clockwise or counter clockwise?

Well I changed over to Amsoil Manual Transmission Fluid, GL-4 Rated or whatever. Car is pretty nochy until it warms up, but once it is warmed up it feels pretty smooth. Might just be the tranny fluid
