Just ordered Fp Red, quick question. Thanks.

I just ordered the Fp Red along with the gasket kit. I was wondering how manny people also ordered their stainless steel oil line with inline filter and if you guys would recommend it. Can i run my stock oil lines without any problems? I tried searching this topic and came up with nothing so sorry if it has been discussed. Thanks for your help, Daryl.

The SS line/filter combination is a nice one, and FP has a fantastic warranty if their oil feed filter is used with the turbo from new. Take a look here:

http://store.forcedperformance.net/m...e=Acc-OilLines

"Our Promise to You:

FP turbocharger customers who use the FP4ANFilter on their FP turbos for the entire service life of the turbocharger will NEVER pay for a turbo repair resulting from oil contamination. This promise protects you against oil contamination only and does not extend to failures due to insufficient oil supply, plugged filter, excessive EGT, failure to connect coolant lines to the turbo, or blade damage resulting from fingers, rags, O2 sensor pigtails, boost controller vacuum lines, stray washers or small rodents that may get sucked into the turbo or object such as valve, valve guide or piston chunklets that may get spit out of the engine.

FP turbo customers who have used the FP4ANFilter for the entire service life of the turbocharger should send in a copy of the original invoice showing the simultaneous purchase of the FP4ANFilter and the FP turbo that is being presented for servicing or repair in order to benefit from this oil contamination protection promise. "

Cheap insurance, I'd say, and even better, might save your turbo from damage so you never have to pull it or have any downtime.

Just remember to check the filter. If you further read on his site it says most failures are due to a clogged filter

Absolutely true. HOWEVER, remember that the crap that clogs the filter would be heading right into the turbo if no filter is used. That's the whole point of the filter for you and why FP wants you to use one ... It's very easy to take apart and clean, which saves you the entire grief of having a failure. It's not a "set and never look at it again" part...
