I know most of this article is for a 4g mirage, but it does give a good overview of the process. I also don't believe he is using evo parts, mostly eclipse ones I think.

Sorry for such a late reply - do you know what I'd need to do in regards to the emissions laws? Will it be legal since these engines are pre-2001 and I have an '01 Mirage in Illinois

Does Illinois have. emissions testing and/or inspection? If they do inspection, do they open your hood to check your motor? If the engine age is the problem, get a newer evo motor. They are still the same either way. Just sensor hookups might be in different places and might need slight rewiring.
