Transfer Case probs I think. Help?

Ok. I know my T-case is going because it is winny. But I am not sure if this is due to the T-case going or not.

When I am turning slowly forward or backward it sounds like my CV axles are popping. I am wondering if it could be from my T-case binding up or something? Or do axles tend to go out in our cars a lot? To me I think it is binding up or something. But would like to hear from someone that has had this happen to them.

Yup sounds like a t-case/center diff problem.

What erer you doing when it started making the noise?

Axles rarely go at your power level.

I have seen stock axles go out so don't rule that out. However, the whining is notorious for broken TCs. Does it whine in every gear? Does you steering wheel pull to the side by itself?

The only one front wheel would spin, or only the front wheel would spin.

As for the TC wine, it's not that hard to inspect it.. 1-2 hour job.

I see you have the exedy twin , some people get confused with the t-case whine vs this clutch making the noise. the exedy twin is pretty noisy clutch from the start. I thought my t-case was gone cause i heard constant whinning i just sent out my t-case to dan buschur and he said its in great shape. So just food for thought..

I know that clutch is loud but it is really loud at 60 mph and the clutch noise is more like a clader at idle. So I know it is the T-case.

From what I've experienced there was also a slight vibration during acceleration when my xfer started whinning. The VC in mine failed due to overheating causing distortion blah blah.
