Tomei recently released 290 duration procams.
Same 11.5mm lift.

Is anyone running the Tomei procams on a IX?

Would 290 Duration really do anything at 8,000 rpm?

 

 

Solid lifters? Umm no thanks. I'd go for a set of S3s, FP5Rs, Kelford D cams, etc. and keep the hydraulic lifter.

 

Aaron, they have a solid and hydraulic option.

I understand the diffidence about solid lifters due to crap products on the market ( i still have in my mind the disaster that BLE's did in a engine of mines....), but after having tried the Tomei i have to say that they work very well, and there is a certain difference looking at numbers comparing the same cams, always from Tomei, in solid and hydraulic version, perhaps because the first have 11.8 lift instead of 11.5, btw we have seen about 20 hp and 30 nm of difference at high rpm, and, last but important in my opinion, tomei lifters don't need to be reshimmed frequently.......

 

I have tomei 270's! tomei makes a mean azz cam!
