Just exactly how fast do you need it to spool? Transient response is paramount as well, I'd imagine. Will this be on a 2-Litre, or an increased displacement motor? What will peak boost be?

If he wants 550 at the wheels, then neither the FP White, FP Green, or the CBRD Lite, would get him there.
Can the CBRD BBK-Full produce the peak power numbers that he needs? On a 2-Liter, I doubt it! On a stroker it might be doable. What do you think? On the other hand, a BBK Full will spoolup quickly for him and it is a proven torque producer as well.
The jury is still out on the new TOMEI ARMS turbo. It appears to be comparable to a BBK-Full powerwise, but there hasn't been enough testing done on it yet, has there?
The FP Red would probably get him there powerwise on racegas, wouldn't it? I see where a few guys like the Red for road courses, especially on stroker motors. But the constant shifting and extremely short straightaways of the Hillclimb courses may require a faster rate of spool than the Red configured with a 10.5 turbine housing can provide.
I'd like a Red with a 9.8 housing and a B.B. center section on the 2-Litre engine. Or, if it is to be a 2.2 Liter motor, then a B.B. Red/10.5.

For the serious, dedicated hill-climb car, 2.3 or 2.4 and an hta3582 or hta3586 turbo, race gas, etc. How much elevation are we talking here?
For a much more simple and way more cost effective build, a BBK on stock motor with race gas would be my setup of choice. Not near the power of the above setup, but would def get the job done and be a blast on both street and up the hill

Which of these turbos is going to be most available in your country? And what type of fuel? Whenever I see people asking for recomendations, first I look at is where they are at. People give blanket statements, even sometimes AFTER people say they're in a place that can't get XXX part/gas. Also figure in rally type cars probably need to have a few turbos on hand, or something they can get fixed quickly. Gotta be reliable for constant beatings as well.
Hopefully DaveK will catch this post and chime in, he is a hill climber and can provide some first hand experience on the matter
