Boost problem

ok...well, im putting my car back to stock, and selling it.... and my boost selenoid one of the vaccum lines broke off, (so my car is limited to 10lbs of boost) and i went to a performance shop and they put a piece of copper in place of the stock plastic prong. and used a plastic adhesive to make it "solid". and when i put the selenoid back in, its still boosting 10lbs. should i just buy a new one, (ams charges $90) and i really dont want to spend another 90 bucks on a car im selling. or is there another way...??? thanks

Does your car have the original boost lines re-installed? The original lines have orfices in them that are part of the boost control system. Without the original lines your car will run wastegate pressure. You can order the OEM lines for a log less than 90 bucks if you dont have them. Also, if it is your solenoid, I'm sure you could buy someone's OEM boost solenoid for cheap - just post in the WTB section.
