Ha! I knew it! I'm not the only one! A few days ago (Wednesday), I stopped by the shop with my cousin where I see my friend Neil boxing up something in front of the shop. I go, "What's up, dude?" He goes, "Dude, my JIC exhaust broke off." And he's had his all-titanium exhaust on his WRX for I think a year now. He said he talked to JIC and they asked him to take pictures and send his exhaust to them for "inspection." That's what he was boxing up in front of the shop. Neil was the guy that introduced me to JIC, whose WRX I rode in fully equipped with every JIC product imaginable.

Just a word of caution for all you JIC exhaust lovers out there, double-check your exhausts. Torque every nut and check if anything is loose or might come loose or you might end up just like us. Peace.

 

Wow, that sucks. Haven't had a problem with our Ti exhaust on our project EVO, even at the track. I'm sure JIC will take care of him, the're a good company.

 

I certainly hope so. I hope they take care of my issue too! I've decided not to ask for a replacement because it will be a waste of time and money if it ever happens again. I'm just gonna get the HKS exhaust. At least that is a bolt-and-flange exhaust.

How much is Vivid selling the HKS exhaust? I really want one.

 

Could one simply spot weld the exhaust together at the clamp, then clamp over that? I am looking at the full Ti or SS + Ti muffler exhaust right now...
