That thing should have pretty good cruising mileage and be a real handful as well!
No I have not.. sounds TASTY!! *lol* Link!!

But what sort of timing is he running? Cams? High lift?

I like the sound of it, as I want to run a 2.3 with at least a 9.0:1 to a 9.5:1 CR with my kelfords...

I'm refilling at 1/4 tank about 10 gallons of gas. at about 130 miles. Maybe I'm boosting too much. What size injectors are you guy's running I'm running 1000cc? I'm seriously getting worried!!

I had a compression check on my motor recently. I know that my rings were in bad shape from the Alcohol, And they are being replaced now. I'm wondering if that had something to do with it.

I don't ever remember my gas mileage being that good since I've been boosting 30lbs even on my 2.0L

I don't think so I never see anything leaking. Maybe i'm boosting too much. I normally drive at 30 lbs, and Drive about 70+ I normally fill up at 1/4 tank, which is about 130 miles and usually put in 10-11 Gallons. I had a compression check done and my rings were bad, they are being replaced now. I'm really worried about this! I'm running 1000cc injectors what size injectors are you running? What else could be the cause of this?

I run 30 psi on 93 octane and 38 psi on c-16

MMMmmm I'm going to send a link to this thread to my shop. I'm just interested to find out what might be causing the lower gas mileage.

Is that to a 1/4 tank? I always fill up at 1/4 tank I usually don't let it get to E? We only have a 15 Gal tank right?

So you guy's are getting, to a 1/4 tank that would be about 12 gallons of fuel, at 20-23 miles to the gallon 273 miles between fill ups. the average about 258 miles?

Yeah There is no way The max I've ever gotten was maybe 150 miles to a 1/4 tank. I put in between about 12 gallons and get 120-140 miles making my average 10-12 mpg

Wow that's a Huge difference!!!!

you guy's must not be boosting, at all there is no way you can get 23 mpg at boost.

It would cut that 23 mpg to about half at boost. Maybe it's a difference in driving styles, and a different tune. I don't think I have any problems. I'm waiting on my shop to chime in via e-mail and I'll post it.

Maybe the new rings will make it better I may be able to get 14mpg with my driving style

the boost the car is running doesnt matter in this thread since they are basically discussing highway / cruise miles. if you are always on boost your milage is fine but if not then there is something wrong. if you are cruising your afr should be around the 14.7 area. meaning the ecu is running on closed loop operation.

didn't notice a difference. i get 24-25mpg (91oct) on freeways w/ lots of long slopes/grades. more if the freeway is flat.

i have a gt30r and 850cc injectors.

As others have said, we are talking highway cruise miles. I'm not in the boost cruising at 60-70 on the freeway.

D420Mac, you said 130 miles on 10 gallons, that is 13 mpg and just plain atrocious. Something is wrong, 02 sensor bad? EGR? Tune? Something is seriously wrong with that. It should definitely be in the high teens low 20s.
