Dynojet
Dynojet
I live in Montana. Hardly the a mecca of Evo's, or anything but mountains for that matter. But it is the home of the R&D arm for Dynojet. I thought it would be fun to get a baseline dyno run for my stock evo 9 before I start modifying. So I call them up. First the secretary says I don't think we let people use our test platforms, but I'll transfer you to an engineer (because in Montana no one blows you off). The engineer says yah, we can set you up on an awd dyno, but could you leave your car for a bit. Turns out they are expanding their power commander line to EVO's, complete with WB. I have a similar setup on my liter bike and like it a lot. So I'm like hell yah. This is going to be awesome.
Hey there, the product you are talking about is the upcoming Dynojet CMD - Combustion Management Device. Hopefully it won't be long before we can begin testing on the EVO's, but the X will get the first CMD, as it uses a voltage based MAF sensor, like the WRX/STi for which the first CMD was built.
The unit has the capability to work with frequency and Karman based MAF units, but that functionality won't come until after the WRX/STi and EVO X units hit the market. There is some more info on the unit at www.dynojetcmd.com if you care to read up on what it can do.
