well i was driving all of a sudden i hear a subtle winding noise the car drives fine and changes gear fine but this noise seems to come on louder when i push on the gas. I dont know what it is am thinking the transfer case but my car has 13200miles and i just did a e85 tune with a 30r and i take good care it. It has now 377torque and 470whp with a upgraded clutch. i dont know what evo 9 transfer cases are rated for. But some one might have some info for me. The noise is similar to when you take a u-turn fully and that noise winding comes when your trying to pull it fully around.

 

Did you bleed the ACD after the clutch install?

 

yup we did i noticed this problem more or so when i did a launch the 2nd day after getting tuned on the e85 with my 30r am hoping its the transfer case not the transmission seeing that am still on the 6spd with 13,000miles still, changes gears good no grinding just the whining noise.when am accelerating.

 

Same here any ideas? I am changing the fluid out to Diaqueen. I am hoping that will fix it, because the shop put redline in it when they changed the clutch.
