Question about intercooler spray on 04 Evo GSR

Hello,

I just tried to fill up my intercooler spray with distilled water and after I filled it up just to the top, a good amount of it just spilled out of the right side of the front bumper...

Is this normal?

It has an over flow line so when it passes that it just leaks out

I didn't realize people even used these things.. from what i heard, they are useless, which is why they do not have them in 05-06's.. but if it is leaking out.. you passed the overfill line bro.

There is an overflow? Hahha, that's funny. Everytime I tried to fill mine, it leaked, so it ripped it out and threw it away

haha, on my friend matts 03 evo the spray nozzles were messed up and they were pointing straight out like in front of the car lol, so when people would be in the crosswalk or just close on a cars @$$ at a light he would just spray them lol it was sweet.

A buddy of mine in high school on his old AE86 Corolla (back when these cars were not cool... just a cheap mode of transportation) tweaked his washer nozzles so that they would shoot over his car and hit the car behind him. Stoplights were so much fun!! LOLOL

Yeah, there is an overflow. I think it is to keep the water from siphoning out through the nozzles.

One hot summer day I put my sprayer on auto and took a 400 mile road trip. When I arrived at my destination the tank was empty. So, I don't know if they do much but they were spraying.

I did that when I filled my spray bottle.

I have taken it out since. I now have a duct in that spot to help flow more air up to my intake.
