$1,200 to fix a 5th gear at mistsubishi dealer ?

So the guy at a mitsubishi dealer located in queens village, NY said to fix a 5th gear synchros it would cost about $1,200 . Does this sound reasonable ????

Also, quick noob question, If 5th gear and 3rd gear share the same synchros, why doesnt my 3rd gear gring like my 5th gear ...

also, anyone has any cheaper solutions to fixing 5th gear synchros???

Shep or TRE is definitely your best bet if you don't have a warranty anymore. What am I saying? Of course you don't have a warranty, none of us do.

I would never pay the dealership a penny to fix anything. Either they honor the promise they made when they issued the warranty asociated with the car, or I take my business to someone else.

They are not called Stealership for no reason.
I would go with Sheptran or RRE.

sounds to me like this dealer is owned and operated my a dumpsh*t...don't take you business there, it's too high of a price and I would never go back if the dealer voided your warranty for having different tires that is just stupid on there part!
