Best 1000cc Injectors

Hey, I will be setting the car up for E85 this spring, I am looking for a good set of 1000cc+ injectors that will work well with the E85. I saw a thread about the PTE units possibly being affected by the ethanol so i'm not sure about those. This will be on a stock turbo 8 so the 1000's should be more than enough. What do you guys use and where can i get them for a good price?

The new Bosch injectors are pretty damn good I hear. I use Precision injectors all the time and havent had a problem, and quite a few guys run E85 with them and no problems.

Do you need to wire in a resistor with the bosch units? Are the PTE injectors plug and play?

I have FIC 1050's and love them, the car starts and drives like stock, mid 50's % IDC peak on pump gas, mid 70's on E70 (IX turbo @29psi). I just upgraded to a BBK so I have plenty of fuel to run it on w/e I want.

PTE are PNP, but the Bosch are high impedance so you would need to remove the factory resistor pack and rewire stuff. Its not a huge amount of work, but definitely non a drop in deal.

If you want a large choice of injectors, just get some drop in. If you want an amazing injector, dont mind rewiring, and wont go bigger, get the Bosch.

I went with the RC 1,000cc injectors.

RC Engineering

Many satisfied EVO uses on RC's with E-85.

Check out the Alt Fuel subforum. Lots of good info there to get you up and running on on the race gas for the common man. (That's man as in mankind, which includes girlz and boyz. )

The thread you mentioned was an isolated issue. PTE is a great injector that is used by some of the fastest, most well built Evo's.

I have RC injectors, no complaints, I have also used precision injectors, there are lots of good choices, just be sure to stay within well known and used brands and you should be good. You can always just use what your tuner recommends.

+1 on the RC's. Nine months on E85 with no issues.
