Hi,

i have 2 questions for all of you:

1) does anybody know how to install an oil pressure gauge? (pics will be great)

2) i have about $4,000 to spend on my engine right now and i want to know what are my best options. i am very interested in a complete package deal of some sort. HP is important but reliability and streetability is my main concern. so far i have gauges and full suspension setup and that's about it.

any help would be great.

thanks

I am in the same situation as you right now (point 2), and this is one of the options I am considering right now:

Ultimate Racing Stage 1 Plus w/Profec E-01 and E-Manage upgrade, Profec Bracket, HKS SSQ BOV, Ultimate IC piping kit, Walbro fuel pump, and Ultimate Injectors.

Their Stage includes the K&N panel filter I already have, and I am going to retain the stock airbox, even if it costs me a couple of HP. So I would add the RMR induction pipe with the BOV delete option, to eliminate some turbulence.

Also will be adding Defi controller II, and BF boost gauge possibly, depending on Profec configuration.

This comes to a around 4K for everything.

I am interested to see what someone has come up with as a Buscher package for this price. I am in SW lower MI, so the places nearby appeal to me much more than all the CA shops. Also, since I don't have access to a dyno nearby, I like the idea of getting everything from one place to simplify(hopefully) initial set-up. That way I will be in the ballpark when I have to drive hours to dyno tune.

I'm not a vendor but at least I can give some suggestions. You need an intake, open exhaust, bigger injectors, BIG intercooler, good fuel (you'll never know what quality of gas you get in any gas stations), wideband O2 is a must, a stand-alone ems, fuel pump (denso, bosch, walboro), and big turbo. The main idea here is if you want big reliable power then you have to spend more than 4K to be safe. At least you're covered just in case you want more power.

you dont need 4k to make your car fast.. i ran 12.2 @113 with around 2600 in go fast parts ... unless you want to make your car faster than deep 12s

not counting clutch for crazy *** launches, you can be in the 12.5@110 range with the buschur racing stage 1-2 kit, and thats only $1999. I really dont think that we need to upgrade our FMIC. Maybe for 500+hp, but our FMIC is great. Also get those HKS cams and some cam gears. Invest in a clutch and proper tuning and you should be around 12.00@115 on pump gas. You could have all of this stuff and have it tuned and only spend around $3,800 or so, if you do the installs. You should have around 320 WHP or 400 HP at the crank. Maybe a little less 310 and 390, but that whould be a fairly simple and bad *** car!!!
just my .02

The oil pressure gauge you should be able to pick up a good point off of the oil filter housing. You will just need a fitting or two to run to your gauge. Do not use the nylon hose included in most kits, get a braided steel line made to do it.

As for kits and making horsepower you should check out our website and see what is out there.

For $1999 you can get our Stage 1/stage 2 package right now. e have run 12.4 at 111 mph with this on the car on straight 94 ocatne pump gas. Reliability is perfect and so is drivability. I think you will be surprised at how many parts you get from us for this price. You will also notice everthing in the kit is designed to work on pump gas and is all made of 304 Stainless Steel. We made 343.9 hp with this kit on our car.

not sure where my first reply went, but here goes again:

All depends on your focul point - $4k is alot to spend on this car, so it all depends on the direction you want to go, and whether that budget includes labor or not. Are you looking for bolt ons you can do yourself, or some uber exotic kit that few others will have?

As for oil pressure, I agree with Dave on that one....
