$13 more, and probably works 10 times better. It says in it's descrpition that it's internally baffled.

I'm defiantly not expert or a famous Evo tuner, but in my opinion, I wouldn't run this design UNLESS, you install bigger fittings off the valve cover and remove you PCV valve for better flow. The stock fittings are just so tiny and I feel that without vaccum the tiny fittings won't allow enough flow. But with a big AN fitting, I wouldn't find a porblem with it. This way is great since there is absolutly zero chances of any blow by getting back into you intake or intake manifold.

The Cusco and Weapon R cans DO depend on vaccum, but the bad part is, they're hollow. They're not going to do anything but maybe look nifty.

The catch cans that uses vaccum needs to have some sort of baffle, screen, or stainless steel mesh/wool to catch and "filter" out the oil vapor. Some vapors may still pass but it's far better than a hollow can or the stock configuration.

Search "oil catch can" and I'm sure you'll find many posts about the saiko michi(sp?) DC3 cans. Elite Engineering makes a good one too. That's what I use on my PCV side. On the breather side I use a small inline fuel filter which works great. Just need to change it ever few thousand miles, but it's only $2. I usually try to hide it because it's not the prettiest thing in the world.
very good info, thanks!
which inline fuel filter you have now? any link for it? would you mind to send me some pictures of where to install the inline fuel filter and oil catch can? i really need some helps on this.

I just use whatever I can find at a hardware store. Usually just a Fram. It's kind of ghetto, but you can't argue with the fact that it works. I just place it out of sight. I also use clear braided hoses so you can see the discoloration before and after the filter.

I only use the fuel filters on the breather side and not on the PCV side. Since that side is pressurized, I'd rather not depend on a peice of plastic to hold pressure. Plus that side collects more more oil and you'd be replacing the fuel filters every few hundred miles. I use a REAL catch can on the PCV side and empty it every oil change.

I don't have any pictures, and since you drive an Evo X, I'm not totally familair with the 4B11. Just find the PCV valve and the breather hose and place the breather filter inline with the breather hose and the catch can inline with the PCV hose. The PCV goes from the valve cover to the intake manifold and the breather goes from the valve cover to the intake before the turbo and after the MAF.

Here's a pic of my Saikou Michi dual setup for a reference. I know its not a X but other people are looking here for ideas as well.

Perfect mounting spot there at the t-stat housing with the short route uicp. I'm thinking that with the stock setup a split can setup would be better though.
