i'm looking for more information regarding these 2 injectors.
With the ID2200's being a bit more expensive than the FIC2150 injectors, are they better?





I'm looking for something that idles perfectly.
I know that both injectors will do this, but i just want to get peoples opinions on what is better etc.

The same injector, different hat and different approach to matching.

Having used multiple sets of both on a variety of fuels, my vote is FIC2150s. The "latency matching" is indistinguishable in the tuning process, so you may as well save money.

 

could you run either of these injectors on pump fuel ok?

I run the FIC2150's. Aaron sold me on these a few months back, and I would absolutely recommend these to anyone. I have run them on pump 91 just to see how they work, and I had no issues. I use e85 for the most part and can only rave about how easy they are to dial in and how well they idle.

 

when running either set of inj. do you have to remove/modify any of the wiring or resistors in the stock setup?

 

Yes these are high impedance injectors and of course the EVO run a low impedance setup. There are quit a few of how to on the forum on how to eliminate the resistor pack very easily for high impedance injectors. It takes all of about 10-15 mins with some shrink wrap and a solder gun.

I run the FIC 2150s. Plenty of fuel supply and they idle and drive GREAT!! Its hard to believe what these injectors flow when they drive and idle this nice!!

 

I prefer the ID injectors, but because they are essentially the same, you cant go wrong with either.

Don't forget with the 2150 you can't run race gas.

 

Also I believe the ID's can run higher base pressure too..unless the FIC's can do the same, I just may be misinformed.

 

Its the same for both, you can't run oxygenated race gas like Q16.

 

They are the same Bosch injector. What applies to the one applies to the other

Neither can run fuel that has high concentations of MBTE in it like Q16 or Import. Both can run high base pressure.

 

You make want to try the efi wizard injectors if you want to run a fuel like q16 or import.

 

as said in the thread they are the same so y not buy the fic and save money and put it toward something else .

 

they are the same injector BUT ID's are matched across the pulsewidth range resulting in more consistency to each cylinder.
