Slowboy Racing FMIC

I have searched all over Evom and the internet and I couldn't only find a few for sale and 2 pix of evos with it mounted and only 1 of those that actually had a front bumper on

Looks to be a Garrett High Density core, measuring in at 24" long, 12" high and 3.5" wide.

Looks pretty good mounted with the stock bumper. See below compared to the last pic of the stocker

Are people running this FMIC from Slowboy and have any feedback?

I wouldn't buy anything from them, and I know hundreds of others that wouldn't either

There's lots of other good FMIC kits on the market: nisei, buschur deluxe or race core, AMS, perrin, etc. Best bang for your buck on a stock-ish car has got to be the Perrin, they go on sale sometimes and can be had for pretty cheap. Personally I'd buy the Nisei or Buschur Race core if it were my car.

I bought my Manley TT rods and ACL bearings for my current build from Slowboy Racing and Joe was very helpful. I would do business with them again in a heart beat. That being said I have no experience with their intercooler.

I know many people that bought our kit for the EVO and are very satisfied. It does fit very well and ive seen it on 500+ whp cars and works great. For a bolt on upgrade, thats capable of being effecient for that much power, at a price you can afford...you cant go wrong!

Just mounted it up. It is a universal unit, so I have a bracket that allows it to fit.
I also ordered 2 x Silicone Reducer, 45° bend - 3.0" to 2.25" from siliconeintakes.com and some t-bolt clamps to finish off the connection as the reducers I have now barely work.
Here are the reducers and t-bolts from siliconeintakes.com

and here is what it looks like with the bumper off

I thought Slowboy's units were direct bolt on. That IC looks like any no name unit you can source off Ebay.

Not that that's a bad thing as I had great luck with a universal unit I just hope you didn't pay big name money for it

chances are its not garret high density. I never got a direct answer from them when I asked what core they used. I did end up buying one when I was told it was garret core. Only the one I got was definitely a turbonetics wave core. Yours looks like turbonetics core as well. garrett has 14 rows. Not as efficient as garrett.

great price either way
