Is this normal?

I just got done installing an SSQV and ive never heard one in person before so i want to make sure this is right.

It is recirc'd, but basically its doing the surge noise at like 5 to 10 PSI, i havent gone past that because i dont know if this is right. and i dont want to hurt anything. shouldnt it be a smooth blow off? even at the low PSI?

here is a crappy vid, sorry ill try to get a better one later. but it seems like even at 10 or so PSI its not fully opening or something.

Yep very normal... mine does the same. All depends on how quick you're letting off the gas pedal or how much you were flooring the pedal. I actually like it... girls always go "what's that sound? " when I'm driving

Sell the ssqv, buy a better bov (like IX metal one) and spend the remaining money on beer telling your friends how much better your car drives now.
