car locked up high rpm going into third!

ok so my girlfriend was driving her 05 mr home from work today, as she merged onto the parkway she shifted into 3rd at 8k not powershift just a quick granny shift the car locked up so she clutched it really fast and threw 5th she drove home and its rides fine except for a little whine until hit hits a little boost then it goes away. but in 1st,2nd,3rd it starts to vibrate around 4k and up. any suggestion.

could it be the torsion mount or one of the lower tranny mounts. cause i have a steep driveway and backing it out when i put the load on the motor i heard a hugh thunk like a broken mount. i mean the car is making 400 to the tire with stock mounts, or do they rarley break?

Not sure that it would but it could explain vibration.

Now when you say locked up you mean it locked her out of going into the next forward gear. If this is the case it may just require a clutch adjustment. Unless of course there is an ACT HDSS in there already cause in that case you may never be able to adjust it

she said it let her go into the gear but when she let off the clutch it just bucked really hard so she threw the clutch back in. as far as the clutch its a stage 4 clutchmaster.
