Question on ARP headstud install

How far in does the new ARP stud suppose to be in? I screw it in as far as it goes I guess. I don't want to force too much trying to tighten it. I has about 2mm on top of the nut cap. Any suggestion?

I would check on ARP's website and see if they have torque spec's. Come on now "hand tight" ? I myself torque everything and its peace of mind. They all should actually be torqued to yield or stretched past the point of it being torqued another so many degree's.

If I read the How-To section correctly, it said to use the allen wrench to tighten the bolt until it cannot turn anymore and then drop the washer and lube the nut with ARP's grease and tighten it to 80lbs

The stud itself is only tightened hand tight. The nut is what's torqued. These aren't bolts, they are studs. There's a big difference there.
