I dont care to share who I bought them from. According to the seller they were installed in his car when he bought it. The previous owner told him they were HKS 272's So in the for sale section they were sold to me as HKS 272's.

I'll go check my revolvers right now to make sure they don't have a 1 stamped on them.

Nope, not Revolvers. BTW the lobes on my revolvers look WAY bigger than the ones pictured, but it could just be the angle of the picture.

I don't think they do, but just thought I'd check for the OP. Since he bought used cams, you never know. That would have been a pretty lucky find if he bought Revolvers thinking they were HKS though, lol.

Messure them.. messuring the lift is the easiest.. grab a mic and the cam.

Here is how messure the Heal of the cam to the nose (peak lift to the bottom) and subtract that number from the base circle(90 degree's from the nose).. that will give you the cam lift. multiply that number by 1.73 (Rocker Ratio) and that will give you the Valve lift.

You should see something like .425" or 10.8mm of lift for the intake and .402" or 10.2mm Exhaust.

Here is what the Intake numbers of an S2 cam are. the base circle should be close with the HKS.

Nose to Heal (1.435)
Base Circle 90* of Lobe (1.180)
Rod Ratio (1.73)

I appreciate all of the advise everyone. Unfortunately I dont have a micrometer. But I will be going to a machine shop tomorrow to bring my head. Everything is disconnected from it however im just waiting for the de-tensioner tool. I will have the shop measure out the specs for me. When I spoke with him yesterday I was told they need to be measured in a special cam machine which they dont have. Thanks for all the advice and I will keep you guys posted!

+1 HKS Cams SHOULD have HKS stamped on the camshaft. I believe the cams you have is GSC1 cams? I remember GSC usually have series 1, 2, 3 and 4 cams or something like that. Sorry bro but I think you just got ripped off

im sorry but if the seller only said the previous owner "told" him they were HKS 272's i wouldnt have bought them, the seller really isnt at fault because he was selling them to what someone told him what they were.

my best advice brotha would be to do what greg from GSC told you to do. Measure the lift, and see if its the same as HKS says there 272's or 280's are.

10.8mm intake / 10.2mm exhaust.

wish i could help more lemme no.

You can pick up a cheap caliper from homedepot for about 10 bucks. I'd follow the advice from Greg and measure them.

I don't believe from the pictures those are our cams... the lobes have a coating on them we do not run on the 4g cams we only coated 1 batch and from the picture it isnt the same coating.... I'm not 100% sure by the pic but from the looks i would say they are someone elses(not OEM for sure).
