What a difference!

Today I mosied on down to RMR and got my stock evo a RMR cat-back, RMR down-pipe, and RMR intake system, added the RMR carbon fiber forced induction hood scoop, and the k-brace. I must say, the car feels alot more alive now!

Not to mention the sound, makes my old scooby seem very quiet.

That depends on your needs actually....

If you want more power.... then look into some type of ECU mod (most popular options are APEXi S-AFC, Greddy E-Manage, Xede, Works or RMR reflash) and boost control. An ecu reflash is perfect for those who want plug and play.... and Vishnu's Xede is also a popular option for those that want plug and play (comes w/ base maps), yet also have the option to tweak via avail. software. I went the boost controller/S-AFC route because I like to tweak. It depends on what you want man.... do some research and you will figure it out eventually. Let me know if you need help along the way..... that's what this site is ultimately here for....... although I have to say that it's annoying when people are to lazy to do their own research and end up asking the same questions over & over. G00d luck!

I am thinking of getting the same tb exhaust setup but can't decide on keeping my stock cat or replacing it with a test pipe or high flow cat.
Are you using your stock cat?
What was your boost and whp increase?

Thak You for your info

Thnaks for the help Evo1!! Much appreciated.

Seba,

I have not dyno'd the thing yet, cuz it has a long way to go. As far as the set up, I have heard that replacing the stock cat only causes problems and tampers engine lights, and produces almost no more horsepower when removed. Although, I hear some people have good results with that ultimate test pipe and RMR CB and DP.

Although I feel a huge difference, cant wait to go to the next level with the EVO. My suby produced 400 hp, and cant wait to get there with the EVO.

EVO1? -> Is there a huge price difference between ecu-flashing and the AFC?

Thanks!!

It is good to see someone else with the same thoughts. This site has been a great tool for learning and moding my ride. I could not have done it with evolutionm.net.

BTW, the RNR stuff is good. Enjoy making your EVO yours.
