i've done the putting into gear and waiting for it before, it worked before but now it still grinds. any other suggestions?

have the synchro replaced. Hoping thats all it needs..... The grinding noise that you're hearing is the synchro, but I have seen it do damage to the gears themselves.

around how much does it cost to just have the synchro replaced? and wats usually the downtime on that?
