I have the HKS twin disk for daily driving. That clutch is the best because the clutch peddle is actually softer than stock.

ACT for daily driving is trash. The clutch peddle feels like the brake peddle, hard as crap. Also at high RPM, the ACT clutchs doesn't want t0 go in gear. I'm no bashing ACT, but thats what I'm notice.

I have act 6 puck. yes, there is high rpm lockout. But, for some reason, I kind of like the hard pedal feel...

I just got an '06 evo9 for Christmas with only 13,000 miles. =)

I drove it only a couple of times, never all that hard because it has summer tires on it. I was doing some light cruising on nice days saving up for winter tires. The clutch never felt quite right. I did a petal adjustment since it was grabbing at the end of the pedal. The next time I drove it the clutch was slipping bad. I've adjusted the pedal to different spots and back to the original location it still slips.

So, new clutch I guess. I parked it. I've been searching around these forums and keeping my eye out as to what most people recommend for a clutch. I have a slightly mod'd evo with a 3" turbo back/air filter and a tune. There's no way it's much over 300whp. I don't need the heaviest clutch around. I was totally decided on the ACT street disk w/ pressure plate/ flywheel combo at Lancershop.com. I'm only $200 away from pushing the order button, a couple more weeks and I will.

I want a clutch that will last and give me minimal issues. This thread is ruining my plans. WTF clutch should I buy? I need a flywheel included. I'm in the bonnies and can't run and get mine resurfaced. I have minimal access to a lift so I have to be in and out. That kit looked like the answer.

What did you do to your ACT street disk? Any racing, lots of launches?

Can you talk more on the abuse level? I'd like to know what you consider abuse.

street disk is going to fry up quick if you have 400hp... regardless of what it says... dont get it

go with a 6 puck sprung... itll give you all the grip you need
