Quick question... ACT clutch slipping

Hey guys I got a quick couple questions.... though first off, let me say I have searched quite a bit and never really found the answer I was looking for.

When I bought my evo last year the owner had installed an ACT street clutch at about 20k miles, well my evo is now right around 45k miles and last week my clutch started slipping in 3, 4, and 5th gears when full boost kicks in.
My question is.... is it possible to have my clutch adjusted, or is it simply dust. (sorry don't know much about clutches)
Also I have looked at new clutch/flywheel combo's and found a good deal for the CCI Stage-4 6-puck clutch with CCI 11lb flywheel. But I rather not spend the money unless I need to. Is this a good set-up? Anyone have any experiences with either of these parts?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Where in the pedal does your clutch engage? There is some adjustment and and explanation in the how to section.

If your clutch is slipping with the mods in your sig.. I would suspect a few possible things. Oil or contamination of some form on the clutch/flywheel. Or your clutch is extremely toast, like way beyond normal. When I pulled my ACT street clutch out of the car last fall it was worn down to the rivits, basically no clutch disk left and was still holding like it did when it was new. Launching the car and everything the day before.

My clutch pedal moves only maybe 3 inches or so.... lift it up about 1-1.5 inches and it starts to engage. It has the very very heavy pedal feel to it too as well, which from what I heard is pretty common with the ACT. I have played around with the clutch pedal adjustment underneath the dash the before and it didn't make a difference really.

It needs replaced. I just got done earlier tonight taking out my act 2900 and putting in an exedy stage 2 after only 12k and about 10 launches. Act clutches are good in most cars but not evos. Even David Buschur says they are junk and he's right. So get rid of the junk and get an exedy clutch. They are the best and if you don't believe me just ask Buschur or Ams and they'll tell you the same thing. Also, lightweight flywheels and awd don't mix. If you get a lightweight flywheel you're asking for all sorts of expensive problems

I've had my act hdss clutch in for about 2 years now(in june)...put about 35k miles on it + and it still launches and hold fine......idk why you guys clutch wore out so quick..and i've been to track numerous times..

however if its slippin..just replace...theres no telling how the previous owner drove on it

i too am looking to replace my clutch. i had the act xtss and got about 35000 but i think the pressure plate is gone because it won't engage at all and the gears are barely wanting to change. gonna rip it out to make sure what's up with it. i hope it's something simple but with the noises it made i'm sure it ain't. i maybe going with the exedy stage 2 clutch.

could be a tranny issue....unless gears are engaging when engine is off.

if your only trapping 107mph than that explains why it has lasted you so long....
