new motor nee some help

so i just finished putting my new motor in and i have some questions maybe some of you can help me out with. first lets get the mods out of the way. built 2.0 with eagle rods wisco pistons, head is port and polished with 1mm over valves upgraded springs basically whole new motor, i am running the stock turbo for break in, has all bolts ons. know my questions is a idle and cruising speed my a/f ratio is at 17.5 to 1 i know that is way lean i least i think so. i am not to wise to the tuning of these cars yet. but when a little boost kicks in the a/f ratio is right were it should be 12 to 1 should i get this car tuned before i even drive it or should i be safe in till i get to the tuner Thursday of this week i will be driving the car about 50 miles a day if i do drive so i need to know if it is going to be safe or should i just let it sit in till Thursday? thanks for the help

12:1 is NOT where your afr should be. That is lean. I would let it sit until thursday until you can get the tune cleaned up, no point in risking it and breaking your new motor.

correct way to do it is pulling it and sending to a builder or a good machineshop.

or have someone that is very good skilled with drop in pistons then they can do it while th motor is still in the car

I'd just put the extra time in, and pull the motor out and do it the right way!!! In the end it'll be worth it. You don't want to have to do the job twice ya know..... But in the end it is up to you..... GL

I bought a Cosworth stage 3 head for my car, and I love it! It really just depends on how far you want to go with your car. I started out not really wanting to mod my car out all crazy, but as I started making more power I couldn't stop!! Ha ha. Flow is everything
