Grinding after trans fluid change

So i changed my transmission fluid for the first time at about 16xxx miles yesterday. I was on the highway tonight and my 3rd to 4th gear shift grinded on 2 separate pulls. I used Amsoil 75w-90 in the trans. Before the fluid change it was shifting fine. Do you guys think the grinding is caused by too much fluid? I may have overfilled it. Not by much but i put in 3qts with some of it spilling.

you cant possibly overfill it because it'll just pour right out, lol. I don't know maybe amsoil sucks. If you spilled some then your topped off.

Which Amsoil did you use? Amsoil MTG or other?

Can't go wrong with OEM fluids for drivetrain components. I would dump it and put Mitsubishi fluids back in.

after filling, you need to drive the car and then refill.

I followed the Evomoto guide and filled it through the engine bay with a funnel and tube. I'll have to check to see if I over or underfilled it, but my question is could that be the reason why its grinding?

Um.... no you don't. It takes just under 3 bottles.

I tried the above pictured AMSoil and didn't care for it either. Very notchy and crunchy when cold. I switched back to stock (($$$)) fluid and its back to feeling normal again.

I know many people run the AMSOil without issue but it didn't play nice in my tranny.

That's interesting because I switched FROM stock to Amsoil because stock was too notchy when cold but the Amsoil was not.
