How to fix TOB clip from coming off Exedy Twin?

I searched but could not find the solution to this problem. Evidently the throw-out-bearing retaining clip "pops" off.

Can this be repaired without removing the transmission?

Is there a solution to this problem?

I know AMS sells the push type conversion for this, is there a cheaper effective solution out there?

Thank you in advance.

Some people tried putting extra wavy clips from other clutches like ACT i believe.. but it didn't really fix the problem and those people either ended up buying a different clutch or the AMS push conversion.. I would just get the push conversion or if you don't care about having to rebuild the clutch quite often, you could pretty much pay the same money and get a full quarter master clutch kit that is already push converted ..

ive been told the exedy twin doesnt have this issue as much as the triples
Im sure there is a fix...fyi the push conversion only applies to the 5 speed however

It happens to both twins and triples.. and good call on the ONLY 5 speed

i had the same issue with my triple .. put the clip back on and used a clutch fork stopper and it happen again .. replace the clip and added washers ... happen again .. finally broke down and purchased the push conversion .. works good no issues ...

if you popped the wedge collar off with the fork stopper then you had the fork stopper installed wrong.

RPS also has solution. they make a square clip instead of round that cant pop out. you have to unbolt flywheel to get back apart. smart design IMHO
