To stroke or not to stroke

Hey guys Im rebuilding my Evo 8 engine here in the near future.

I had a couple of questions that hopefully can be answered easily.

I am going to either bore or stroke the engine? or both? Im not really sure what to do? Im on the stock exhaust manifold and stock 16G with a 10.5cm^ hotside. I have 264 HKS cams which I hate but they came on the car with a straight turbo-back exhaust and TurboXS Piggyback and K&N Typhoon intake.

I was just wondering whats going to work best for me? I don't drag race but I do some track events and whatnot so I don't want to sacrifice alot of my RPM range, but I want more torque.

Should I stick with the 2.0? Or go 2.1L or 2.3L? I'm probably going to have to bore and hone it anyway so a .20 is more than likely mandatory.

I am also on a very limited budget! I also have to rebuild my differential and tie up some other issues with the car, so although I hate going cheap, I really have no choice here.

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated!!
