Just got the oil pressure switch installed. You need to get the UICP and Battery to get some clearance. I ran over to vatozone and picked up that oil pressure socket. It was ten bucks.

problem solved, total cost to fix=20 bucks, no more annoying flickering oil light.

Here are some pics of the sensor and the tool required

the oil pressure sensor socket is for a 1/2 inch ratchet. I used an adapter. I had great luck w/ a shorty 3/8 ratchet. Prepare to have your forearm scratched to hell and back, LOL.

Not sure but i believe the sensor is a universal one. Just head over to your local VATOZONE.

I don't think I would change anything other than the sending unit. Run the factory OEM filter and oil weight otherwise you are asking for trouble.

I still say the AMS OIL Oil filter is better than the Stock Mitsu filter. Only downfall on the AMS OIL filter is the price is higher.

I'm very relieved now, this started to me yesterday for the first time ever (46k miles) and was gone this morning but I was still a bit worried about it

I like this idea, especially with how nitpicky mitsu is about warrantying these cars (of course I think I'm one of a handful left with a warranty )

Anybody know where to get the drain plug washers, I usually get my filters from extremepsi but I don't think they have the washers and I'm running out. Time to search for the second time today, bet I get my answer in 10 minutes again

EDIT: Extreme does carry them, they were only listed as for DSM's but supposedly they are also going to list them under evo parts now too
