I have the same flickering light problem. I'll try to add oil first. Is it OK to add a different brand of oil as long as it is fully synthetic 10W-30?

replaced mine yesterday, you def need to remove the battery and tray. To me it seemed to be located in the center of the block at the bottom, saw a pic on another thread where it was located and it showed it almost at the edge of the block on the drivers side towards the top. Def was not there...

I just notice that I have this same problem. Hopefully I can get it fix when I go to autozone tommorow and get a new sensor.

For those who may wonder, changing the oil pressure sender solved the problem of the oil lamp flicker.

OK, With oil fill I only use 4.3-4.5qts and I am slightly over the full line when its cold. So I don't know how I am going to run 5.4 without over filling my oil. I also need to replace the sensor I guess as tonight after several WOT runs at Idle I was flickering and it was freaking me out and only because I had blown the dipstick out twice on Thursday while driving home so now I have a throttle body spring holding it down. SO can someone post a pic of the FSM stating 5.4qts. I am also running Amsoil 10w30 Dominator switched from Amsoil 10w40 AMO. I am also on FP's Oil Return Line from the filter housing. I am running a Oil Pressure Gauge from AEM but I am tapped on the Side of the head where the large Throttle body Cable Braket is.

5.4=capacity of engine, filter, oil cooler. 5gts is the normal fill for oil changes.

I think that the 5.4 is a typo. The factory owners manual says 4.5 quarts plus .3 for the filter. It says the same on alldata and everywhere else I look. It was the same for the DSMs. Everyones always just used 5 because it was so close, but never 5.4 quarts.

Thank you, I used no more then 4.5 and its slightly above the full line so I know 5.4 would be way to much.
