oil in the intake question

So I've recently noticed that I have oil in my intake area. I have none getting to the turbo though yet. I've been doing some research and found that oil catch cans can help this but my question is if this is normal or not. I've read it can be caused by bad piston rings and some other post saying that its blow by which is normal. Any advice or details on why it is or isn't normal would be helpful!

Normal yes.. It's the blow by from the valve cover from pressure pushing oil into the intake. Catch can will eliminate this problem.

Its usually blow by coming from one of the hoses that are attached from the valve cover. In my ralliart it happens, but on the intake manifold.
