no question twin disc is not a must and act will last a good 10-15k+ miles if driven hard and launched on and still be just fine not everyone has to have a twin disc. You also might research wtf you are talking about before you post man because act are awesome clutches the people who have trouble with them do not adjust them properly there your average joe working on a car i went to school for this and will soon be master certified... i tryed the [img] stuff it did not work for the album i will do it for individual pics later

1. There is a tranny bolt right by the speed sensor
2. you need a slide hammer to get the dummy shafts out
3. the trick to getting the tranny out is loosen the 4 subframe bolts almost the entire way so the subframe can lower a lil over an inch, and use a ratchet strap/ buddy to pull the engine forward in the compartment.
4. The TOB is a biotch especially if you have never worked on a pull style clutch. not much i can tell you hear except when they say rotate 90 degrees they mean the screwdriver handle(like you are tightening a screw)
Sometime you can get it released in a matter of seconds and other times half you tool set will end up sticking out of the wall....... good luck

nothing wrong with act clutches.. had one in my built srt4 and i now have one in my ix.. exedy and act are both great companys.. its just a matter of how much you got to spend
If used properly they will both be fine for the transmission. The twin disc will have a greater clamping force so if someone were to launch improperly without taking out the slack in the drivetrain, they will blow something really quickly.
My point was if he killed the clutch in the car before he even got it home he isn't going to be treating the car very nice. A single disc is only going to hold on for so long. My car will be getting a Exedy twin HD and a shep trans rebuild net summer and i will never have to touch it again.
