evo 4g64 with 20g turbo

evo 4g64 with 20g turbo

hey guys , im from australia here and i have an evo 6 and im just about to get my rebuilt 4g64/63 motor......i was wondering if u guys have any dyno results from a 2.3/2.4l with a evo 9 20g turbo.......reason for this is here in australia no one has really done the 4g64 block with 63 head and i dont know what to expect.....like spool and and power difference from the 2.0l i had.......so im hoping to see some comparisan dyno graphs from 2.0 to 2.4l......thanx in advance

with a 2.3/2.4L you gotta go bigger than a 20g!!! Thats no fun!! ha ha I haven't seen any numbers with that setup.... Sorry

Yeah, I would go with something bigger than a 20G, maybe a Red or 30R. Not many guys here use the 20G so you would be hard pressed to find a dyno.

I have driven 100 different turbo setups on 4g63. I owned a 2.3/20g setup for 9 months. was the most fun I have had with 4g63. Bigger is not better for everyone. if you put a lot of driving and you like fast spooling , hard hitting turbo, this setup will be very satisfying. Only reason I changed the setup was it was too hard on the early transmissions. nothing like being in traffic and doing lane changes with the front end lifting up. They think you are spraying nitrous.

it isnt a high revving setup. expect mounds of torque from 4000-7000

ah yeh cool.......what sort of power did it put to the treads???

I agree with you. Not all of us are drag racers. A lot of street use at least for me.

typical straight line dyno queen highway pull fanboys. he didnt ask for your opinions on turbo choice. and the green IS a 20G lol 20G-5 vs the previous 20G-6 from tc.com. but hey no one uses 20G's right?

to the OP, search for stroked greens.

What??????? What are you talking about? Green is 5 blade a 20G.
