valve seals keep getting pulled off guide
in brief here is the summary:
1) stock head + stock seals + ferrea dual springs + revolver cams = almost all exhaust valve seals pulled off. you could see where the inner spring was wearing down on the valve seals.
2)jam head + jam seals + jam springs + bf272 cams = ok
3)jam head + jam seals + jam springs + revolver cams = gates busted timing belt, but valve seals remained in tact for the short mile or two the car ran
many repairs later
4)jam head + supertech narrower diameter seals + ferrea dual springs + revolver cams = almost all exhaust valve seals pulled off
first i went back to the revolver cams since i found the bf272 a little lazy on the street. then i went back to the ferrea springs because i found that the jam springs looked a bit too close comfort, even though they assured me the pocket is clearanced for them to operate properly once seated. after my timing belt incident i was too paranoid to chance any valvetrain binding issues.
so i'm left with thinking that the lift of the revolvers, or the bronze guide heights, or the ferrea locators or retainers or a combination of all is bringing the seal into the contact with something it shouldn't be.
would really appreciate some ideas on how to solve this. thanks in advance
