Opinions on DD on cams?

Hey, whats everybodies opinions on daily driving an evo with a set of mild cams (GSC 1's)? Should I avoid it or no need to worry about reliabilty of the motor?

I have the GSC S1s and love them especially for daily driveability. Reliability of the motor depends upon your preventive maintenance not on your cams.

I have HKS 264i/272e and they're so mild some people can't even tell I have them. For a DD they're awesome.

Had HKS 272/272 and it idle'd a little loppy but had no problems driving or idling what-so-ever.

30k miles on HKS 280's here, and 10k miles on Kelford 272's w/ GSC springs. Through sun, rain, wind, snow, heat, and deep cold MN winter. If tuned properly, no problems.

HKS 272 Mivecs here... and the lop is so mild some people can't tell i have cams. Idles perfect and i got gains from low to high all the way through... granted the gains were minor. I may move on to more aggressive cams in the future... but for a daily and awesome midrange, these work great.

Excellent point about MIVEC, you can get away with much more aggressive cams without a lumpy idle once they're dialed in. MY HKS280s in my VIII are way more noticeable than a friend's GSC S2s in his IX. I drive mine to work about 40 miles a couple days a week, and he was daily driving his almost that far for a long time until he took it off the road to do a built 2.3 setup.
