hey guys. i just got my tranny rebuilt by jacks transmissions in colorado and i just finished putting it in and now my 5th and reverse is locked out. i asked them what they thought and they thought the case is probly damaged from shipping or trying to pry the tranny in with a crow bar. we used a cherry picker and lifted it right up gentaly i did not use a crow bar so i dont see how i could have damaged it. now i am sick of doing it myself and am taking it to a shop to have them look at it. any ideas?

 

if its a 5 speed, 5th and rev share the some of the same internal rods i believe

 

yea its a five speed and the guys said that the case could have got muchroomed somehow and then the rod wont slide. however i dont know a whole lot about the internals of the tranny i just wanted a second opinion.

I think you are the first person I've ever heard of to have a problem with a Jacks job. Hey where in WI are you located? I rebuild EVO trannies if you need a local opinion or help, I'm located in central Wi area. Wisconsin Rapids.
