Random electrical problem, help

Hey guys, ran into an electrical problem. So I finished wiring up my oil pressure gauge and put everything back together. Gauge worked fine and everything, so drove the car to a friend's house. Later at night, I get in the car and everything lights up fine. I go to turn the headlights on from the off switch to on position, and the gauge cluster lighting turns off when I turn my headlights on. So I turned my headlights off, and the cluster lights up again. I also noticed that my HVAC lighting would turn off when I turned my headlights on.

I've never ran into this before or really any electrical issue before. I've wired all my gauges before and bunch of other things and everything works fine. The question now is, I dk if this happened right after my oil pressure gauge install because it was sunny outside so I wouldn't have noticed the lighting of HVAC and gauge cluster, or if just randomly happened when I got in the car and turned the headlights on. I took apart the A-Pillar today and unwired the oil pressure gauge to see if it would help, and the same thing happened, so I dk why all of a sudden the lighting stops working in the HVAC and gauge cluster when the headlights turn on. I wired the oil pressure gauge to a normal 12v circuit under the dash where my other gauge was already wired in, and grounded to a normal chassis ground.

Thanks guys!

what exactly did you get your power from for your gauges?
there is a thread about the electrical plugs behind the driver side kick panel getting corroded and causing a lot of weird problems....
try removing that panel and checking all those plugs
