I just bought my IX two weeks ago. Im beginning to see that vta bov's dont work without serious modification on the IX's is that correct? Or, if you do, you wind up with stall issues.

Any help is always appreciated.

its not about serious modifications...... you can have every single bolt on and still not be a able to put a vta bov.... you need a standalone and i forget what the other is called.... i have a aps bov and you can hear it quite enough

 

stick with the stock DV and add an intake and should you should be content with the sound

 

You need to run speed density or equivalent in order to VTA, the maf doesn't account for the air released in between shifts causing you to run rich and also causing the stalling. Switch back to the stock DV and you'll be fine.

 

Keep the stock IX BOV; its more than adequate and seems to handle up to 30 lbs/boost just fine.

That wont help his stalling issues. He needs AEM EMS or equivalent to safely VTA

 

keep the stocker until u get aggressive cams.. cams made mine and my buddies car's bov open during cruise and would blowoff when shifting in vacuum

 

apparently Allstock's sarcasm detector needs its batteries changed
